FISHING

You can fish right next to your cabin because all cabins are along Kennedy creek, Duck Lake is only 9 miles away. You will need to purchase a tribal fishing license in order to fish anywhere on tribal land.

If you choose to fish in Glacier National Park, they do not require a fishing license. You will need to check with the ranger station/visitor center and they will provide you with the park regulations.

HIKING

The cabins are situated on Kennedy Creek, although you are close to the highway, you can leave your cabin and hike along the creek. If you go south you will come to were Kennedy Creek meets the St. Mary's river. If you go north, you will hike up into the mountains and come to the forks were Kennedy creek meets Otatso Creek. There are also a number of hiking trails in the park; you can receive a free hiking trail map at the St. Mary's Visitor Center.

SIGHTSEEING

Our cabins are centrally located if you want to take advantage of the sightseeing opportunities that are in both Glacier National Park and Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta Canada. We are located only 12 miles from St. Mary, 13 miles from Many Glacier and 39 miles for Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta Canada.

Glacier National Park and the world famous Going to the Sun Road, which is only open during the summer months is a must see when visiting the area. St. Mary has restaurants, shops and a small grocery store. Many Glacier, also has a restaurant and gift shop. Both have access to hiking trails throughout Glacier Park.

Waterton has to offer the Prince of Wales hotel for High Tea, or you can take a ferry ride on the lake and visit Goat Haunt which is located in Glacier National Park. There are many unique shops located in the small community inside the gates of Waterton Lakes Park.

CULTURAL/OTHER

During the summer you can watch the Blackfeet Dancers and Drummers perform at the St. Mary visitor center, or listen to Jack Gladstone sing and tell stories about the Blackfeet Reservation. You can get the event times from the St. Mary visitor center.

Babb has a Methodist Church and a Catholic Church which both offer services every Sunday. If you want to have services in Glacier National Park, they do have church service at St. Mary Campground, Rising Sun Campground and Many Glacier Campground. You can get the information on times at the St. Mary Visitor Center.

If you are interested in dining or night life, both can be found in Babb at the Cattle Barron, Charlies Place, Duck Lake Lodge, Fire Horse Cafe, Leaning Tree Cafe, and Hooks Hideaway to the North.
